House Construction

Infrastructure & Construction

18 jan,2026

The House Construction program builds safe, permanent, disaster-resilient homes for homeless, vulnerable, widowed, and extremely poor families.

About This Project

Each house includes a living space, a kitchen, a toilet, and a tube well, transforming lives by providing security, dignity, and protection from the elements.

Why This Project Matters

  • ~3 million Bangladeshis live without permanent housing.
  • River erosion displaces 15,000-20,000 families annually.
  • Homelessness exposes families to disease, violence, and exploitation.
  • Widows and the elderly face extreme vulnerability without shelter.
  • Children cannot attend school without stable housing.

Project Goals

  • Building permanent, disaster-resilient homes for homeless families.
  • Providing safe shelter for widows, the elderly, and disabled individuals.
  • Including basic facilities (toilet, tube well, kitchen, electricity).
  • Restoring dignity and social security to beneficiaries.
  • Contributing to SDG-1 (No Poverty) and SDG-11 (Sustainable Communities).

Who Will Benefit

  • Widows and abandoned women
  • Childless elderly
  • River erosion or disaster-displaced families
  • Disabled and extremely poor households
  • Orphaned children and families without guardians
  • Communities in flood and cyclone-prone areas
