Qurbani (Animal Sacrifice)

Food Security & Nutrition

18 jan,2026

The Qurbani Project facilitates religious animal sacrifice (Udhiya) on behalf of global donors during Eid al-Adha and throughout the year, ensuring Shariah compliance.

About This Project

The program distributes high-quality protein (beef/mutton) to families who rarely consume meat, combining spiritual worship with tangible nutritional support.

Why This Project Matters

  • Many poor families cannot afford meat throughout the year.
  • Eid sacrifice is a religious obligation that many cannot fulfill.
  • Proper protein intake is essential for children’s development.
  • Shariah-compliant sacrifice requires proper procedures and distribution.
  • The Prophet (ﷺ) emphasized sacrifice as beloved to Allah on Eid.

Project Goals

  • Facilitating Shariah-compliant Qurbani for donors worldwide.
  • Distributing nutritious meat to families experiencing food insecurity.
  • Ensuring proper Islamic procedures (halal slaughter, distribution ratios).
  • Providing protein to 80-100 families per sacrifice.
  • Honoring the Sunnah and strengthening community bonds.

Who Will Benefit

  • Poor families lacking access to meat.
  • Widows and orphaned children.
  • Disabled and elderly individuals.
  • Madrasa students and orphanages.
